The Future Of Live Music Is Looking Good

Well it's looking good if Friday night was anything to go by anyway.  I was in Sale, Manchester at Bar Amp for Designer Mag's tenth All Ages gig.  The idea of the all ages gigs is to give under 18's a taste of live music and on this performance it's a taste they love!

All unsigned bands, and almost all under 18yrs old there's a lot of talent brewing in the Manchester area.  Granted some of the performances still need work with a number of guitarists and bass players barely looking up from their strings to make eye contact with the crowd.  However stage craft takes time and confidence to build so there's plenty of time to work on that.

Highlights of the night included roaring sets from The Fractures, (lead singer Dave did the decent thing and warned us they were the best band playing that night), Sex Radio (probably the oldest band on stage that night), and headliners The Result.  If this is anything to go by, the live music scene in Manchester is in safe hands!
