Little Man Tate at the Sugarmill

Last night it was back to the Sugarmill in Stoke-on-Trent for a visit from Sheffield's Little Man Tate.  Always a lively affair I was surprised to see there wasn't a pit at the front, something I'm sure the security had reason to regret by the end of the night after yet another fan invaded the stage.

Opening for Little Man Tate were Cardiff's Innercity Pirates. already receiving lots of praise from the likes of the Times, Guardian and NME they're sure to be making a big noise next year.

Strolling on to the stage to the tune of Carter USM's "Sheriff Fatman", Little Man Tate launched into "Money Wheel" and put on a belter of a show.

Love the pics! I was at this gig too and your photos perfectly capture the whole mischievous atmosphere of the evening.

Innercity Pirates were great too, definitely a band to look out for next year. How can you not love a band that finish their set with a song called Earsex?!!

Yeah it was a great night, the fans certainly kept the security busy with their stage diving and crowd surfing antics!

As for Innercity Pirates, they're definitely a band to watch out for. Hopefully I'll be shooting them again soon at Manchester's "In The City" festival.

As a Sugarmill regular snapper, you might want to pencil October 27th into your diary for the King Blues.

A great band, deffo one to look out for. The lead singer has an adorable habit of playing the ukulele, not seen since the days of George Formby!

Check out this vid to see their style:
