The Sugarmill in Stoke-on-Trent has been one of my favourite venues for a long time so when I was feeling restless one chilly night in January I had a wander down to see who was playing.
The Sugarmill is one of those venues that is worth taking a punt on, even if you don't recognise any of the bands playing. This time the band in question was local outfit Ylang Dog Riot.
Describing themselves as somewhere between Skunk Anansie and Incubus they're no shrinking violets and put on a great show.
